Streaming music all weekend with a concert Sunday at 12p.m. sl

CONCERT 12 p.m. 7 Feb. 09 in Music Island in Secondlife

A concert of renaissance and baroque music spanning 250 years. Gorse Ferraris and Iggypleyel Burnstein will be joining me at the beautiful Music Island sim in Secondlife. The program will begin with a collection of pieces from the famous late 14th c.  Llibre Vermell de Montserrat. Afterwards we will go to England of the second half of the 15th c. with William Cornish and Henry VIII.

Then we will cross the channel to the spiritual majesty of Josquin des Prés. Then we will return to England for the 17th c. giants Anthony Holborn, Thomas Morley and John Dowland. Then to Italy with a canon by Philppo Baroni.

Two dance pieces by John Playford the dancing master, will be separated by a baroque sonata by Jean-Baptiste Loeillet.

Benefit Concert For The SL Globe Theatre. Thom and Gorse will play part 2 of our English renaissance music favorites concert on Sat. 24 Jan. at 12 p.m. slt at the SL Globe theatre. The program will in include works for 2 to 5 recorders by;

Thomas Tallis, Thomas Morley, Henry VIII, Anthony Holborne, William Corkine, William Cornish, William Byrd, John Dowland, John Redford, Christopher Tye, Orlando Gibbons, John Adson and John Playford.

18 JANUARY ENGLISH RENAISSANCE MUSIC PART 1.

Sim benefit concert 12 p.m. slt Jan. 18, 2009 at the Manor House in Renaissance Island.

Gorse and I will play all our English favorites in the next 2 concerts. Some of the greatest pages of 2 to 5 part music of the period.

Thom and Gorse are busy preparing our program for Thousand Rooms. First of all we are preparing some well known pieces from the early 14th Century Llibre Vermell de Montserrat. we will also perform 2 wonderful pieces I found recently by William Corkine. I will surely play a few pieces from my Josquin des Prés CD and some dance music from John Playford. I will also play  Jacob van Eyck and the 18th Century French composer Daniel Demoivre.
