Due to a motorcycle accident I have a broken left thumb. I am obliged to postpone my Oct. 3rd concert at Innovation Island. We'll be back soon...

About Me

Thom Dowd: Thom Dowd (alias Thomas Coard) was born in Michigan U.S.A. and has been living Switzerland since 1978. He teaches recorder at the Conservatory of Fribourg. Thom studied early music and recorder at Oakland University in Michigan with Lyle Nordstrom before going on to the Musik Akadamie in Basel Switzerland where he studied with Michael Piguet. After 27 years of teaching Thom started recording renaissance multi-voice music with a computer. This opened the door to new inspiration and the possibility to perform the music that he really loves to a world wide audience. Second Life and the virtual world have created a new way to conceive and to present the music of the renaissance and baroque. The great composers of that age of light shall be reborn in the virtual world where the need for their purity of sound and spirit are greater than at anytime since 1400.
